Abstract
The main aim of this research is investigating the relationship between new ICTs (internet and satellite) and relationships with opposite sex in high school students in Freydonkenar. The methodology used was a survey using researchers- made questionnaire based on globalization theory of Giddens. The population was all the high school students (N=1271) in Freydonkenar who were later, through Kukran formula and stratified sampling, reduced to 300 (n=300). The findings showed that the above mentioned ICTs have increased relationship between opposite sexes; the kinds of ICTs are also important in these relationships. Using internet and satellite for recreation has a meaningful relationship with opposite sex. Moreover, the type and volume of using these ICTs determines 36% of the changes in the dependent variable.
