The main aim of this study is to reconsider the cognitive theory of Farabi to extract some logics behind his theory for lesson planning. The methodology is descriptive-analytic and the analysis is interpretational-inferential. To this aim, Frabi’s methodology and cognitive theory are introduced. Then, his system for lesson planning has been represented. His lesson planning is composed of three sections, namely, content, teaching methodology, and learning. Finally, some suggestion has been made for using Farabi’s educational thinking (lesson planning) in national education system.
