The main aim of this research is recognition and elucidation of the characteristics of Quranic stories as an active method for teaching morality . The methodology used in the study is qualitative with descriptive-analytic approach administered through documentary analysis. The findings revealed that Quranic stories enjoy the following features: variety in initiation of the stories, variety in the dialogues, brevity, question and answers, non-linear narrations, intertextuality, and deletion of some parts of the story and finally encouragement in thinking and reasoning. These methods are actively centered around internal education, mutual interaction, activity-based learning and the facilitative role of the teacher
