Journal of Islamic Education (JIE) published four times a year in January to May, May to August and August to December, is in Persian with English extended abstracts), peer-reviewed journal that specialises in Islamic studies and Islamic education. The aim is to provide readers with a better understanding of Islamic education and present developments through the publication of articles and research reports with ISSN: 1735-4536 (print) and 2588-4611 (online). This journal was published by Research Institute of Hawzah and University "Hawzah wa Dāneshgāh Research Institute"; the leading research institute in Islamic Humanities and Social Sciences in Iran.
JIE is an international, professional refereed journal in the interdisciplinary fields that relevant to Islamic education. JIE serves as a platform for presenting and discussing the emerging issues on Islamic education. The journal is committed in publishing high quality articles in persian and welcomes articles in English, ranging from original research papers in the area of Islamic education. The journal invites scholars and experts working in all disciplines of Islamic education. Articles should be original, research-based, unpublished and not under review for possible publication in other journals. All submitted papers are subject to the review of the editors, editorial board, and blind reviewers. Submissions that violate our guidelines on formatting or length will be rejected without review.
JIE has been established as the first scientific publication in the field of Islamic education in Iran to provide an intellectual platform for national and international researchers working on issues related to religious education with an emphasis on Islamic approaches. The journal tried to study the issues and problems in this field with the help of scholars and researchers of the field and provide the ground for the growth and prosperity of Islamic education in Iran and abroad. The Journal was founded in as a response to quick advancements in Islamic education and was dedicated to the publication of the highest-quality research studies that report findings on issues of great concern to the profession of Islamic education.

Journal of Islamic Education (JIE) provides a valuable outlet for research and scholarship on interdisciplinary and comparative themes and topics on religious education with an emphasis on Islamic approaches and publishes manuscripts of empirical and/or theoretical in these fields. All empirical methods, including, but not limited to, qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods, are welcomed. To be published in JIE, a manuscript must make strong empirical and/or theoretical contributions and highlight the significance of those contributions to the religious and spiritual studies of religious education. Therefore, preference is given to articles that test, extend, or build strong theoretical frameworks while empirically investigating the issues with high importance for theories and practices. JIE is a Persian Language (with extended English language abstracts), Quarterly & Open Access journal and users have the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles.
All the processes for paper publication are sponsored by Iran's Research Institute of Hawzah and University.
