Since its first issue in 2005, the Journal of Islamic Education (JIE) a peer-review academic journal, has published scholarly papers – empirical and reflexive; theory development, case studies and book reviews – the largest depository of current knowledge in this fast-evolving scholarly field. JIE is proud to be the leading academic forum for disseminating work, for the development of theory and best practice, and for the exchange of ideas and debate in the related fields for academics, researchers, scientists and scholars.
Education as one of the institutions in the today's society is responsible for the transfer of cultural heritage to the new generation which during this transition shapes them and develops their talents. Any inconsistency and discrepancy between the culture of society and its prevalent education will lead to conflict and disruptions in society's performance. Therefore, the efficiency and growth of society and its people depend on the efficiency and adaptability of education to the culture of society.Historical experience has shown that whenever Islamic education, in the strict sense of the word, was prevalent in our society, put individuals and society in the path of perfection and growth.In contemporary times, the solution to many of the existing problems is to refer to genuine Islamic education.For this reason, Department of Islamic Education of RIHU has published the semi-annual journal of "Islamic Education" as the first scientific publication on Islamic education in Iran in order to study the issues and problems in this field with the help of experts and researchers of the field and provide the ground for the growth of Islamic education in the country.Journal of Islamic Educationhas started its activities since 2005. We encompass, without prejudicing any belief or none, a multitude of interests and concerns.
Islamic Education is an open-access, double-blind, peer-reviewed journal published by Research Institute of Hawzah and University, the leading research institute in Humanities and Social Sciences in Iran. Islamic Education has been established to provide an intellectual platform for national and international researchers working on issues related to Islamic education. The Journal was founded in as a response to quick advancements in educational sciences and was dedicated to the publication of highest-quality research studies that report findings on issues of great concern to the profession of education from an Islamic approach. In this journal, as well as all other journals published by RIHU, each paper is given its specific DOI number to facilitate identification.
To allow for easy and worldwide access to the most updated research findings, the journal is set to be an open-access journal. Yet, the journal does not charge any fee for reviewing, processing, and publishing research papers from the authors or from the research institutes and organizations. All the mentioned processes for paper publication are sponsored by Research Institute of Hawzah and University.
