Consumption Model Reform Foundations, Principles and Methods with Emphasis on Islamic Texts

Abstract

To compile consumption model according to society condition and its people due to fast population rise in recent decades and consequently increasing interest in exploitation of resources and also more consumption seems necessary. unlike some western viewpoints, in Islam religion consumption is not authentic per se but it should be in a way to actuate humanity to his eventual creation aims. A comprehensive guideline for consumption model reformation could be formulated based on Islamic texts since Islam has a holistic view on consumption issue. In this study, a collection of foundations, principles and methods of consumption model reform is educed considering religions society as a target society and through auran and innocents (peace be upon him) traditions predicative analysis. As a result, fine foundations, eleven principles and twenty methods of consumption model reform are as follows: Tenets: neediness, dearness and independency, faith, thinking, different people and society discrepancy; Principles: need evaluation, fore sight, sobriety, qsceticism, to see world, God's gifts arena, responsibility, other worldliness, otherism, conception and thinking interest, culturism, admonition, personal and social suitabilities interest. Methods: prioritizing, resources management, consumption moderation consideration, contentment, divine tradition recognition, legimitate laws satisfaction, motivations reformation, limitation and condition in consumption, endowment and altrusim, advertising, to use others experiences, modeling, deprivations, reminiscence, personal and social dignity consideration.
