The purpose of this study is to achieve a new reading of thinking with a caring approachby referring to the story of Moses (PBUH) and Khezr (PBUH) in the Qur'an in order to teach meditative thinking based on the five elements of this thinking. These are as follows: value thinking, emotional thinking, active thinking, normative thinking and empathetic thinking based on the teachings of philosophy for children. Regarding the findings of this study, by citing verses 60 to 82 of Surah Al-Kahf and using descriptive method and qualitative content analysis with interpretive approach, the above story, which itself contains three instructive and thought-provoking stories of the teacher-student type and also has the characteristics of questions and answers in the text of the story and the challenges in the path of gaining experience, learning and evolutionary development of the character of Prophet Moses (PBUH) at the end of the story, can be listed among the stories with the presence of caring thinking factors and teaching through them. It seems that the study of such stories of emotional and intellectual dialogues, which are the components of caring thinking from the perspective of philosophy for children, plays an important role in the growth and development of this kind of thinking in children. In the conclusion part, we come to two senses of caring thinking: first to understand what we think and second how we think.
