This research aims to explore the concepts of tradition, religion, and religious education in the traditionalist approach of Frithjof Schuon in relation to the modern world. It seeks to address their educational implications within the context of religious education.This study is qualitative and descriptive-analytical. It first extracts the ideas of traditionalists, primarily Frithjof Schuon, using credible sources. Then, through a synthesized perspective, it summarizes and integrates these thoughts, followed by an analysis of the concepts specific to the process of religious education.The findings indicate that, according to traditionalists, including Schuon, religion has the ability to influence all aspects of human life. Thus, the removal of religion leads to a crisis of spirituality, causing irreparable consequences for societies.The research suggests that Schuon sees the weakening of religiosity as a direct result of modernism. He believes that the best way to confront this challenge is through a deep and intelligent understanding of the modern world, grounded in rational thought and a return to tradition. He maintains that for education to be successful in today's world, it must be based on metaphysical principles and eternal wisdom, emphasizing the teachings of the Quran and Hadith, which are the sources of Islamic tradition. These teachings, he believes, lead to the prosperity of both worlds
