This research employs an educational approach and utilizes thematic analysis to reinterpret the narration “Al-Saʿīd man saʿida fī baṭn ummih…” which has predominantly been examined in previous studies from theological and doctrinal perspectives. Drawing upon reliable Hadith sources and through analyzing the themes within narrative texts, this study demonstrates that the content of this narration systematically interacts with a corpus of Islamic instructions regarding prenatal care. The findings indicate that the happiness and wretchedness mentioned in this narration are not merely based on a deterministic concept of divine decree, but are the result of parents’ conscious and responsible educational performance across three key levels, structured as a three-level model:
.1The level of spouse selection based on ethical and educational criteria;
.2 The level of observing religious protocols and conditions during conception;
.3The level of special care (physical, psychological, and spiritual) during pregnancy.
The main achievement of this research is offering a novel, responsibility-oriented reading of the mentioned Hadith, wherein the core narration is regarded as the semantic essence and logical outcome of the set of themes extracted from the detailed narrations of each level. This reading can serve as a basis for family-centered educational planning in Islamic societies and, by explaining the hierarchical and causal relationship between the core narration and other educational narrations, constitutes a step toward reducing deterministic interpretations of this Hadith.
