This article aims to examine the historical evolution of the field of moral education within the Qom Seminary, analyzing two key periods: before and after the Islamic Revolution. The research method combines a historical approach with content analysis.
In the first step, the intellectual developments of the pre-revolution period are explored, including the theoretical and practical foundations laid by figures such as Mirza Javad Maleki Tabrizi, Sheikh Abbas Qomi, and Imam Khomeini (RA).
The findings indicate that during this period, discussions on moral education were presented as part of general ethical knowledge, and there were no independent works in this field.
However, in the post-revolution period, the field of moral education evolved into an independent and dynamic area due to a combination of factors, such as the influence of the new socio-political environment, specialization in Islamic sciences, and the emergence of specialized institutions.
These developments led to the production of systematic works in the areas of the foundations, stages, and methods of moral education, which addressed the issues of this field in a practical and specialized manner. This research, by outlining this historical trajectory, contributes to understanding existing capacities and identifying future gaps in this knowledge
