ABSTRACT
The present research aims at assessing the needs of a curriculum based on the Islamic-Iranian lifestyle for high school students. The research method used was descriptive-survey and the statistical society of the research included all female students in high school of the four districts in Karaj city in 1393-1394 educational year. Using the random cluster sampling method, 379 subjects were selected among 28194 students based on Cochran formula. The methods for gathering data were library studies and a researcher-made questionnaire containing 70 questions of Likert spectrum. To confirm the validity of the questionnaire, content validity and the opinions of the experienced experts were used, and after modifications and confirming the validity, the questionnaire was handed out among 30 available students, and Cronbach’s alpha was found to be 0.751. Using SPSS software for data analysis, frequency indices, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were used in descriptive statistics; and one-sample T-test was used for inferential statistics. In the present research, four aspects were investigated: life skills, health and security, culture and art, and religious aspect.
The findings show that except for the aspect of life skills, there is no equilibrium between the desired and existing situations of the curriculum in religious, health and security, and culture and art aspects, and that a proper curriculum is needed.
